Landscape Concepts will transform your garden and landscape into a serene environment to be enjoyed both night and day...
Founded in 2003, Landscape Concepts is a family owned and operated landscape and design firm. We specialize in designing and constructing elegant garden and landscape environments. Having grown up in the horticultural and garden design industry, we learned an early appreciation for cultivating and caring for plants, and we’ve honed our knowledge and skills over the years—keeping up with industry trends and finding more ways to best serve our clients’ needs. At Landscape Concepts we are continually seeking new and attractive plant materials, along with improved methods to maximize the potential of even the most difficult site conditions. Having a horticulturist as one of the owners sets us apart and lets us to provide more options to our clients. Our primary aim with each project we work on is to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
Growing up in the horticultural industry, Mary Ann was introduced to the skills involved in caring for plants at an early age. Her family raised and sold a wide variety of annuals, perennials, and vegetables (recent projects can be viewed at zolockgarden.com). Mary Ann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture, Sustainable Agriculture and Plant Protection. At the New York Botanical Gardens, she served for 3 years as Outdoor Garden Manager, and held the position of Perennial and Annual Manager at Pound Ridge Nurseries for 8 years.
Gary’s family owned and operated a farm in Puerto Rico. Being raised in the agricultural industry, Gary was exposed to a diversity of crops and annuals at an early age, and he developed extensive knowledge and experience of agriculture. He spent 6 years working as the Landscape Foreman at Pound Ridge Nurseries. Prior to this, he spent 3 years at Lawton Adams Construction Company as an Equipment Operator. As a highly skilled craftsman, Gary can turn every aspect of Mary Ann’s design creations into a beautiful environment.
Michael and Lily
Michael and Lily are our budding horticulturists that help with all that we do. They are learning the plant names, digging holes and designing gardens. Their appreciation for the outside and the environment grows each day as they learn more and more about plants and landscaping.
What’s a Coqui?
A small frog native to Puerto Rico, the “coqui” is known for its gentle, musical mating sound, “ko-kee”.
The male, in particular, begins his song at sunset and sings all night long. He is as much a part of the natural environment as the hills, trees and flowers.
Let Landscape Concepts transform your garden and landscape into a serene environment to be enjoyed both night and day for many years to come.
